Tuesday, November 17, 2009 from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM (GMT)
You may be already be familiar with Twitter, LinkedIn and their like - the much written-about Social Media. You may be a blogger! Whether you regard these as baffling and over-hyped or the greatest invention since the printing press, in truth we've all long been using technology to help us work effectively with our colleagues - after all, work is social.
But the rapid introduction of new tools and their wider adoption does represent a step-change for organisations. So, this is an opportunity to take time and mental space to explore what social media means for your organisation and get on top of what you need to do to manage the risks and get the benefits.
What you'll get, in brief:
WHAT will be covered?
We will adjust the exact content depending on the interests of participants. We expect to cover some of the following;
HOW will it work?
The event will be tailored as far as possible to the interests and background of the participants. To achieve this we will engage with particpants beforehand to find out your interests, experience and what you would like from the event. This will be via phone and via a dedicated and moderated LinkedIn group. We will also use this group for continuing the discussions between peers and organisers after the event. If you haven't used LinkedIn we will provide personal tuition to get you started.
At the seminar, the structure of the event wil be pacy with discussions, questions and answers interspersed with short presentations.
Please be aware that we have designed the seminar for 16-20 people. This number offers optimal balance between peer interaction and indiviual coaching We will reduce the price of the seminar in the last week to ensure that we have this number but will not go beyond 20 attendees.
About the organisers
Bright Beehive support organisations who want to engage more closely, transparently and authentically with clients, staff and business partners in pursuit of business benefits. We do this by helping them to create rewarding conversations through effective use of social business tools, sites and methods. Bright Beehive consists of Nick and Cormac, both ex PwC but with differing and complementary backgrounds; one is a bit of an evangelist for this stuff and the other a reluctant convert.
